Clos des Fous Latuffa 2016

This hand harvested, single estate vineyard wine is 100% Riesling from the Malleco Valley. The wine shows notes of crushed wet rock and touches of flint and mace all on top of apricot and peach wrapped in lemon peel. Crisp, fresh, and bracing acidity define the palate. This is such a unique wine as its made in a reductive style and was aged on its lees in a new 600L French barrel. The wine is unique, the winemakers call it their Chard/Riesling with some similarities to a few great white Burgundies that are made in a reductive style.
